Frances Bukovsky makes images about being a complicated body, and how all of our bodies shape our relationships to place, other bodies, and our identities. Their photography is rooted in embodied practices that highlight the ways that disability and neurodivergence have shaped their perception of the world. Frances also creates illustrations that reach into the fantastic to weave together themes of decay, rebirth, and unexpected ecologies.
