Anusha is a London based music artist who creates projects that are designed to explore themes of death, disability and drama. This Scapegoats project was created in response to the isolation of disabled people across the globe as the state’s eugenics project continued.

We have two A4 prints, the concept was created by myself and the drawings themselves were created by the artist PJ (sclera.centipede)

The first piece pays homage to the 50s/60s, harking back to the Hitchcock and Hammer Horror comic books. This was directly inspired by the song Scapegoats itself, “I only screen through screens, hopeless lingers. As I try to change the world, with my fingers”.

The second piece pairs together gothic and classical styles to create a haunting oil styled painting. Inspired by the the vintage pulp magazine covers, this piece illustrates the idea that disabled people and marginalised people are often sacrificed to appease the masses (whether it be through benefit cuts, genocide or the state in general).
